Ghana has moved up one place and is now 50th on the latest and final FIFA rankings for the year 2017 released on Thursday.
The Black Stars also moved up one place to 8th on the continent overtaking rivals Nigeria in the process.
Senegal remain the top ranked team in Africa above Tunisia, with Egypt (31), Congo DR (39) and Herve Renard’s Morocco (40) completing the top five teams in Africa.
The biggest movers were Vanuatu, who jumped 28 places to 157th in the world, with Nicaragua dropping 13 places to 119th in the world making them the worst movers.
Germany remain the highest ranked team in the world with Brazil, Portugal, Argentina and Belgium completing the top five.
