Members of the Ghana branch of the Believers’ Loveworld Incorporated also known as Christ Embassy will mark the birthday of the founder of the church, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome with a community service.
Pastor Chris will turn 54 on December 7, 2017.
Members of the church have however set aside the day to undertake a number of social interventions aimed at rendering services to society.
Announcing the initiative at a press conference on Wednesday, an official of Christ Embassy in Ghana, Deaconess Sarah Esi Koomson said the service dubbed, “BLW International Day of Service 2017” forms a part of their “transforming lives” initiative aimed at exhibiting the love of God to mankind.
“We as Christ Embassy will, as it has been a part of our ministry, show Christ’s love to our neighbours. And on his birthday come December 7, our man of God has requested us to render services to our society. We are not only for preaching the gospel but also giving back to society,” she added.
The celebration, which is nationwide across all branches of Christ Embassy, will entail lined up activities such as meal donations to street children, hospital visitations, clean up exercise, orphanage visits among others.
