Writer Nana Kesewaa Dankwa has fulfilled her lifelong desire of authoring books with the release of her debut work titled ‘Confessions of a Ghanaian Girl’.
The book is a documentation of what spurs the majority of the things in her life, about Ghana, womanhood and mankind.
“The book is to give readers a glimpse into what it means to be a Ghanaian through my thoughts and passion,” Nana Kesewa said.
The book is divided into three sections: My Ghanaian Confessions, A Girl’s Confessions and My Poetic Confessions.
‘My Ghanaian Confessions’ details her experiences as a Ghanaian growing up and living in Ghana. The poems, fiction and non-fiction stories recount her daily experiences as well as express her concerns and the growth prospects of Ghana.
In A Girl’s Confessions, she writes about the things that consume her thoughts as a woman, the challenges of being a girl living in Ghana, the expectations of society, relationships and the big subject of love.
The third section of the book, My Poetic Confessions is about her passions in the form of poems. They encompass a reflection of her thoughts on issues around her.
The book comes highly recommended by critics who say the author did an amazing job at painting a good picture of what makes Ghanaians unique. It also helps foreigners understand some characteristics of Ghanaians and appreciate the uniqueness of the country.
The Book’s Forward was written by Nana Awere Damoah, a Ghanaian Bestselling Author.

Nana Kesewaa Dankwa was born and bred in Tamale.
She however also lived in Nkawkaw and Accra. She currently lives in Munich, Germany with her husband and son. Though with an academic background in Computer Science, Nana Kesewaa’s first book outdoors her unique style of writing in both fiction and non-fiction stories.
