It is such a shame and heart breaking. Imagine, others fly into our country for galamsey only! Where in the world can you find that? Can a Ghanaian do that in – say- China and get away with it? Collectively, no one would want to admit the lose of Nkrumah to our nation. That mistake alone set our country back 55 years. The nation have NOT developed in all aspects after that awful coup. One can dislike a man- he is fallible, BUT one cannot ignore his achievements and contribution to our country. Where in the world would you find a president who did not build a house for himself! Only Nkrumah. Everything he built was for Ghana. Rawlings killed people for having more than one toilet. Educated people were taken from their homes and killed for being too educated and crying for democracy to be installed. How many homes and toilets have Rawlings now? Unless we have another selfless individual with a vision equal to Nkrumah, our situation will not change. They are just moving squares into round holes the whole time.

You are right. Even before the start of work, consultants are looking for their percentage, contractor is looking for his percentage, civil servants, MDAs are all looking for their percentage. At the end of the day, the quality to look for is chopped monetarily. So the construction is completed dead on arrival

Are you surprised? Shoddy work is the signature in our country – so much money spent yet lacks quality as is everything else in the system. It was only completed last year, but will not stand up to form and quality like what Nkrumah built -Tema motorway- decades ago! This sums it all- difference between the chaff and the grain yet no one would admit to the quality of Nkrumah’s deeds!
