Hello Kigali participants off to Rwanda [photos]

Participants of Citi FM’s Hello Kigali Business Tour left Accra for Rwanda today [Tuesday], January 24, 2017.

The team comprises business leaders, entrepreneurs and key public sector workers who are eager to find solutions to stimulate growth and efficiency in their organizations.

Rwanda has been touted for its successes in eliminating overly bureaucratic and corrupt systems in its public sectors, using technology and friendly legal regimes.

Businesses are also thriving in the Rwandan economy, which has seen an average growth of about 7 percent in the last ten years, pushed by manufacturing, agriculture, construction, and services.

Some of the government institutions that have shaped the Rwandese success story and who will also host participants include; the Rwanda Development Board, the Rwanda Revenue Authority and the Government Online service (Irembo).

The Head of the Business News Desk at Citi FM, Vivian Kai Lokko, who is leading the delegation, explained that participants will be exposed to unique experiences needed to grow their businesses.

CEO of Emerald Properties, Harry Quartey, who is a participant, the Hello Kigali Tour, will afford him the opportunity to explore business opportunities for the slow growth in the middle to low end real estate business he operates.

Meanwhile, another participant, who’s the Director of AB Business Consultancy, Belinda Odua Dua, told Citi Business News her expectations of the Hello Kigali Tour will enable her add value to warrant possible increases in charges for its services back home in Ghana.

Other highlights of the trip include a visit to the Kigali Free Zone, Rwanda Natural Resources Authority (RNRA), Rwanda’s Commercial High Court as well as the Genocide Memorial.

The Hello Kigali tour will end on January 28th, 2017.
