Black Queens midfielder Priscilla Otchere says they are not intimidated by playing Cameroun in front of their teeming home fans, rather, they are fired up to maintain their dominance over a side they have consistently beaten.

The Queens and the Indomitable Lionesses on Tuesday, clash in the first semi-final game of the Africa Women’s Championship in Yaounde, with sides vowing to ditch the other.

The Cameroonians are counting on the massive home support to beat the Queens only for the second time in their six AWC meetings as they are eager to live on their’host and win’ mantra.

However, Otchere one of the few players who met and beaten the Cameroonians at different stages including in Under-17 matches, insists they will not be deterred by their opponents’ dream or intimidated by the packed-to-capacity stadium.

“For sure their fans will turn up in their numbers not just to support their team but also to make us feel intimidated. That will be a failed ploy because we are used to pkaying infront of huge crowds.

“All that matters when we get to the pitch is 11 players against 11 players on the other side. Psychologically, coach has told us to tune our minds off to the crowd.”

“Our only concern is to have fair officiating and even that we will play to the referee’s whistle as we don’t want to be distracted in any way.”

“Being confident of victory  is not underrating the Camerounians, but at this moment, the pressure is on them to deliver victory to their home fans,” Otchere said in an interview.
