The 2016 New Patriotic Party Parliamentary (NPP) Candidate for the Awutu Senya West Constituency, Nenyi George Andah, has in partnership with Dr. Joseph Kobina Essibu, Founder and Head of Ideal College, awarded 45 brilliant but underprivileged students in Senya Beraku with a full scholarship to attend the College’s 3-year SHS program at the campus of their choice.
The scholarship package includes tuition and boarding for each of the 45 students.
Over 300 students from within Senya participated in the process, with the 45 beneficiaries attaining the required marks to secure the scholarships.
On Sat 22nd Oct, Nenyi presented the sponsorship letters to the 45 beneficiaries at a brief ceremony held in Senya.
Amongst the policy initiatives announced by the NPP Flagbearer Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, free SHS continues to resonate with Ghanaians.
Nenyi reafirmed this initiative as part of his strong campaign pillars to give back to the community, mobilize and empower the youth whilst demonstrating to the people of SB City and the entire constituency that the promise of free Senior High School as made by Nana Addo, will indeed be a reality for ALL SHS students in Ghana when voted into office on the December 7.
Nenyi’s campaign message of #Change4Power2DoMore continues to excite the electorates, as he continues to create opportunities to bring out the best in the youth and leveraging on his networks to build solid partnerships that benefit the constituency.
The NPP candidate stated,”SB City has produced some of the greatest minds and famous names including the Andah’s, Arkaah’s, Esseku’s, Essibu’s, Oseku’s, Jackson’s and Akyeampong’s, who have made significant impacts in the fields of Mathematics, Banking, Business, Education, Engineering, Law and Politics. This is our time to help put SB City back on the map of success and greatness in Ghana”.
Nenyi further stated, ” I have always believed that SB City and indeed ASW is endowed with brilliant pupils whose potential is untapped, and given the opportunity to further their education, will certainly contribute to the future of ASW constituency”.
Christopher Quansah, a student who benefited from the scheme remarked, “If it hadn’t been for this scholarship, some of my friends and I wouldn’t have received this awesome opportunity to further our education. We are grateful to you, Nenyi for this surprise. You have brought hope to the students in Senya and we will make you proud”. Mr.Kweku Quansah a parent added “We are all believing that God will hear our prayers and grant Nenyi his hearts desires so he becomes our MP and does more for this community”.
