Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, says he feels fit enough to start for Ghana in their FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifier against Uganda on Friday in Tamale.
The Al-Ahli man has not featured for the team for some time now due to injuries.
He was called up by Avram Grant to face Uganda and he said after the team’s first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday that he was in a good shape to play on Friday.
“I am getting better. In my last match (for Al-Ahli), I scored twice and played for 90 minutes. I am still not hundred percent though but I am getting there.
My body feels good and I am working on my endurance so I do not get tired quickly.I am working with my colleagues and everyone will support me to do what I do best.
We are all praying for victory on Friday.”Gyan has scored four goals for Al-Ahli in all competitions and he is expected to help Ghana start the World Cup qualifiers on a good note.
