The New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential nominee for the 2016 December polls, Nana Akufo-Addo, has said he is prepared to beg Ghanaians to make him president if that is what he needs to do save the country from decline.
Nana Addo noted that, he sees nothing wrong with begging to serve as President despite criticisms by his opponents.
“I’m prepared to beg the people of Ghana to be president, if that is what is required to be done,” he added.

Nana Addo said some have argued that when “you say try me that means you are going to experiment; but the experience of the person who is there now, has been a disastrous experience for our country so what is the purpose of continuity?”
“Are we going to continue the disaster? Is that the right thing to do? We want to get rid of the disaster and bring in a new man with fresh ideas and a fresh direction for our nation. That is what we want to do,” the NPP flagbearer added.
Audacious campaign promises
Nana Addo, who is currently on a campaign trail, has been to five regions telling them about some social intervention policies he intends to implement when given the chance in the December 7 general elections.
Some of the programmes he has promised includes; one-factory; one district, one village; one dam; and one million each year for the 275 constituencies in the country.
