The governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that it will officially launch its campaign on Sunday, August 14, at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in the Central Region.
The NDC has said the campaign will reflect its achievements and what it intends to do given another term in office.
The Director of Communications for the NDC’s 2016 Campaign, Joyce Bawa Mogtari, who spoke to Citi News’ Kojo Agyeman after a news conference to announce the launch, said it will be a step in the party’s “march towards victory in 2016 come December 7.”
She stated that on the day of the launch, “We intend to outdoor our candidate, we intend to galvanise our party supporters, we intend to officially kick start the campaign in the run up to our victory come December 7, 2016.”
Mrs. Mogtari also hailed the NDC flagbearer, President John Mahama, as robust, humble and a “man who has demonstrated all his life his true passion for this country and the people of Ghana.”
The theme of the campaign is “Changing lives, transforming Ghana” and according to her, “it will capture all the infrastructural developments in terms of health, education, power and all the other sectors that his Excellency, John Dramani Mahama has so ably committed to and delivered.”
