After Man City beat Stoke in the early game, here’s what happened at 2pm…

Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

Vokes cele
Sam Vokes took just two minutes to open the scoring after Andre Gray intercepted Nathaniel Clyne’s careless pass.

The striker then slipped the ball to Vokes who rattled it in from 18 yards and Gray made it 2-0 shortly before half-time following a break from the hosts after Daniel Sturridge was caught in possession. Liverpool fans were not impressed by their back line.

Tottenham 1-0 Crystal Palace

Wanyama
Victor Wanyama scored his goal for Tottenham, which proved to be the winner. Spurs fans, though, won’t have been able to work out how they were unable to score more as Harry Kane and Vincent Janssen were denied.

Janssen had the chance of the game when put through by Dele Alli in the second half, but he put his shot wide when one-on-one with Wayne Hennessey. Then Wanyama headed home in the final 10 minutes.

Watford 1-2 Chelsea

Diego Costa’s name was ringing around the away end after his winning goal in the closing stages. A resolute Watford defence gave away little in the first half and then Etienne Capoue smashed the ball home just after the restart.

However, the fantastic home defence could not hold out for the three points as Michy Batshuayi equalised and then Costa latched onto Cesc Fabregas’ pass.

Swansea 0-2 Hull

Malone cele
Smash and grab? Swansea fans were left frustrated in the face of a well drilled Hull team and it was the visitors who went away with the win through Shaun Maloney, who turned provider for Abel Hernandez to ensure it was six points from two games.

West Brom 1-2 Everton

Mirallas cele
Gareth McAuley’s early goal from a Craig Gardner corner made it appear Everton were in for a difficult afternoon.

It didn’t take long for visiting manager Ronald Koeman to change things, bringing on Romelu Lukaku for James McCarthy before the end of the first half and on the stroke of half-time they were level through Kevin Mirallas. Gareth Barry bundled in a second and final goal of the afternoon. It was well deserved given the domination enjoyed in the second 45 minutes.
