While there seems to be a national focus on the Ghanaian rap arena, a legend of that genre is in the hospital.
Reports indicate that Ghana’s ‘rap sofo,’ Obrafour is unwell and has been hospitalized for some weeks.
Sarkodie revealed this on his Facebook page on Monday [July 4].
According to Sarkodie, he tried to keep it on the low but has had to announce it so Ghanaians can pray for Obrafour.
“Was keeping this on the low but now it’s getting serious and will need us all to pray for my godfather @iamobrafour,” he said in that post.
He also stated, “@iamobrafour has been admitted almost a month now. And his current state ain’t dat gud but he will be fine. Just want us to remember him in prayers.”
Obrafour, whose real name is Michael Elliot Kwabena Okyere Darko, is a multiple award winning rapper who has been on the rap scene since 1999.
