Budding Afrobeats sensation Kweku Bizkit, has released his new single titled “Your Dzonu”.
Dzonu in the native Ewe language means beads and it is a rarely talked about subject particularly when it is worn around the waist of an African woman.
So one would wonder what could move this young Afro singer to sing his heart out about a lady’s string of beads.
Explaining his stand on Your Dzonu, Kweku BiAzkit said “beads have always played an enormous role in the culture, fashion and artistic expression of us as Africans. Beads were valuable in our traditional African setup and still relevant in today’s Africa. He continued that beads are used for outdoorings, engagements and other traditional ceremonies and stands out among the most intriguing and important symbols in African culture, past and present.”
Bizkit continued that Ghana and Africa at large has so many things to be proud of and one of them is the dzonu as called in the native Ewe dialect.
“They also come in trendy as fashion accessories nowadays. It’s so easy to spot a customized string on a young person’s arm.”

Bizkit couldn’t talk about beads without touching base on the sizzling effects of waist beads.
Hidden from view underneath women’s clothing is that waist beads increase body-consciousness in a way that lingerie does – they are provocative. The wearer can take pleasure in knowing that they’re wearing something special and beautiful which will please their lover.
Beads naturally possess the power to attract and evoke deep emotional appeals to the opposite sex, he added with a grin.
Your Dzonu is just another addition to Kweku Bizkit’s singles. He recently featured on a release with Dottiyard’s Kush Elikem and BlackStar Line’s Trey La which they called Nyade Dzor.
He has in the past worked with artistes like Tinny and Scata Bada and is currently working on a joint with VVIP.
