The official website of Ghana’s Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), has been infected by a computer bug.
Checks by citifmonline.com revealed that, the page fails to load completely when opened and anti-virus programs on the computer are initiated.
Other users stated that, access to the site had been blocked completely.
Some screengrabs of the site show that the website has been infected with a Trojan virus.
It’s unclear whether this is an intentional attack on the website, although it has been inaccessible for about an hour.
Several websites of government institutions have been hacked in recent years, most recently the website of the Ministry of Education.
The websites of the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Local Government and Rural development have also suffered cyber recent attacks.
