The General Secretary of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has said the party will soon establish a school to train its members.
According to the NDC General Secretary, the school will help the party teach the principles, ideologies and values of the party to its members.
Speaking at the 24th anniversary of the formation of the NDC, Asiedu Nketia added that the school will also enable them groom more leaders for the party to maintain a succession plan and also transfer ideas from one generation to another.
On issues with the NDC’s manifesto, Asiedu Nketia said it is ready but awaiting approval from the party’s hierarchy.
For his part, the Majority Leader of Parliament and an NDC MP for Nadowli-Kaleo, one of Ghana’s long serving legislators, Alban Bagbin called on the rank and file of the NDC to be selfless.
He explained that NDC is a party that fights for equity and accountability.
He called for the speedy establishment of the party’s school to implement these values.
In attendance was the President, John Dramani Mahama, former President and founder of NDC, Jerry John Rawlings as well as other NDC stalwarts.
