Management of Tsatse Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility wing of Groupe Ideal, has cut sod for the construction of a Community Health and Planning Service (CHIPS) Compound at Ziope Honugu in the Agortime-Ziope District, of the Volta Region, to improve healthcare delivery in the area.

The community, according to the Group CEO, Dr. Nii Kotei Dzani, was identified as one of the under-served communities in the country following media reports on the challenges faced by residents and has therefore been earmarked by the organization to be supported in areas of health, education and entrepreneurship.

The CHIPS compound is expected to be ready for use by end of year, and it would serve inhabitants of Hongugu and other 15 satellite communities, who usually trek over 20km to access healthcare.

The ground breaking ceremony which coincided with the birthday of the CEO of Groupe Ideal, saw Dr. Nii Kotei and workers of his nine subsidiary companies which include Ideal Finance,Firstrust Savings & Loans, Ideal Capital Partners and Ideal Pension Trust, celebrate the day with the locals.

Tsatse Foundation also made donations of slightly used clothing to the people of Ziope Honugu Number 1.

The District Chief Executive of the area, Komla Adjaho in a Citi News interview, thanked the financial institution for the humanitarian gesture, adding that the projects will be put to good use.
