The Talensi District Assembly has promised to reward best performing basic schools and candidates who secure between aggregate 6 and 10 in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination(BECE).
Addressing candidates before start of exams at the Bolgatanga senior high school center in Talensi District, District Chief Executive, Edward Awonoore, cautioned candidates to desist from cheating during the period and promised best performing schools and candidates packages from the assembly.
“Schools that will perform very well, also individual candidates who will emerge victorious and perform very well, we are looking at aggregate 6 to 10. Any student who will fall within this will have an appreciable package from the assembly.

Talensi District Director of Education, Jenne Kye-eebo, urged candidates to give off their best to raise the image of the district.
Upper East Regional Director of Education, Jane Sabina Obeng, told Citi News, the ongoing exercise was so far successful.
“The total number of candidates within the region is Twenty thousand seven hundred (20,700). we are on our rounds, at the district levels all directors and officers have been sent out to monitor the ongoing exercise.we have three teams, we are in the Bolga area monitoring the exercise, one is deployed to the Garu area and the other to another district, we are going to have these arrangements throughout the week till the exercise is over. So far, there is nothing wrong, it is good, this is the third center we have been to and everything is okay.”
