Three male students of the Mampong Presbyterian Senior High School in the Eastern Region are in hot waters for allegedly gang raping their colleague 15-year-old female student.
The Akropong Police command say appropriate actions will be taken against the three after they complete the ongoing West African Examination Council (WASSCE).
According to the Police, the three male students threatened to report the victim to the school authorities after she and her boyfriend were caught allegedly having sex on campus.
[contextly_sidebar id=”22Ov3WrCNyYSylaI4bxV4BU6umIal4hl”]The Police commander, Chief Superintendent Charles Kofi Adu of the Akropong Police Command told Citi News that the lady allowed the three to sexually abuse her, for fear of being reported.
He said the three will be picked up to assist with investigations soon after the exams.
“The incident happened on 9th May, 2016 between 10pm to 11pm. The lady, aged 15-years who is an SHS 1 student of Mampong Presby Senior High School alleged that she was at the dormitory when her boyfriend Daniel Asare, a form two student of Akuapeman High School visited her.”
The Police Commander said “the two agreed and went into the Visual Arts block and made love. During the act, they were seen by three others namely; Benjamin Kortey, 18 years, David Obadai Okine, 19 years and one Alex Kyei Boadi, now at large, all form three students from Mampong Senior High School.”
“The students who were allegedly holding canes threatened to have sex with the victim else they will whip her and also reveal the act to the school authorities. For fear of the threat, she gave in and all the guys slept with her in succession. While the act was going on, one of the students saw them and reported to another friend and they both came to rescue the victim. We’ve given the victim medical form to go to the hospital for examination,” Superintendent Adu added.
