The Human Resource Development Officer of the Afadjato South District Education Service, Mr John Djondo has hinted his outfit in collaboration with the District Assembly will establish an award scheme to recognize exceptionally hardworking teachers in the district.
He said the Afadjato South District for the past two years has maintained its first position on the regional ranking of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and that the move will create excellence, professionalism, and dedication among teachers in the area.

He added the District Education Service would soon open nominations for teachers to apply for the various categories.
“The teachers through their Head Teachers would apply for the categories; Best School, Best Teacher in the various subjects, Overall Best Teacher among others. If you are a teacher teaching Mathematics, English or any other subject and you are aware your pupils performed well in the BECE, you can apply”.
He was speaking at the commissioning of a 4-unit classroom block for kindergarten pupils of Logba-Alakpeti Evangelical Presbyterian Schools constructed by Pencils of Promise, a Non-Governmental Organization.
