The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Klottey Korle constituency, Dr. Zanetor Rawlings has registered as a voter in the ongoing limited voters registration exercise.
She registered at the Nyaniba polling station at Ridge today [Thursday].

According to Mr. Ashietey’s suit at the High Court, the NDC nominee did not qualify to be elected as the parliamentary nominee since at the time of the contest she was not a registered voter in the country.
But Dr. Zanetor later resorted to the Supreme Court, putting a freeze on the case at the lower court.
It is unclear yet whether her registration today will have any consequences on the case in court.
Registering won’t save Zanetor
Mr. Ashitey had argued that Dr. Zanetor’s registration in the limited voter registration exercise will not save her.
Speaking to some NDC supporters in the Klottey Korle constituency, Nii Armah Ashietey said, “I don’t think going to register when the Electoral Commission opens the register will cure the fault; it will not cure the fault. Our own rules say that no member of the party shall be suitable to contest a primary if that is not a registered voter.”
