Tidal waves at Fuveme in the Keta Municipality in the Volta Region have compelled residents to flee from their homes.
According to the people, the tides have destroyed most of their homes, including the only school block in the community.
Fuveme lies between the sea and the Keta Lagoon in the Keta Municipality in the Volta Region and the members of the community say that they face this problem almost every year.
Members of the community say that due to the nature of their problem, they have had to seek refuge on a football pitch.
Pupils and teachers in Fuveme have also had their share of the problem. The classrooms of the only school block in the community is easily flooded by the tides.
This has gone on to the extent that pupils and teachers have had to move their teaching and learning materials from the school to a safer place.
