Ghana’s fastest growing community of thinkers and doers will converge at the Ghana High Commission, 104 Highgate Hill, London N6 5HE on April 12th from 6pm to 8:30pm, to share their dreams and vision for the country and Africa as a whole.
Themed ‘African Initiatives’, the event will feature like-minded leaders from Ghana and the UK, who will share their dreams for Africa.
Commenting on the event, Emmanuel Leslie Addae, Curator for TEDxAccra, said, “after organizing three successful TEDx events in Ghana, we have become more passionate about the issues facing Africa. We are keen on solving Africa’s challenges. Of course we know we cannot solve every issue facing our continent, but, the question is, what can we do to help promote change?”
“Another question we want to address is, how can we move into the next phase of taking action? We want to see ideas realized. With the same focus on ideas worth spreading, we have decided to move from standing on stage and sharing ideas to bringing together the key players in African to discuss and debate solutions,” he added.
Lydia Asare, TEDxAccra UK Ambassador said the event will feature high-level speakers and passionate individuals creating diverse experiences for intellectual and national growth. We believe in Africa and we know African problems can be solved by Africans.
“TEDxAccra is only in its second year and is growing fast. The community is attracting high-level speakers and passionate individuals from all backgrounds of life – creating experiences and a platform for interesting conversations.
