A month after Citi FM and it’s listeners’ reached out to the Baptist School Complex and Orphanage at Trotor, near Suhum in the Eastern Region, representatives from the orphanage visited the station in Accra to express their profound gratitude for the donations.
According to the delegation, which included some children of the orphanage, the donations from Citi FM have helped to enrich their lives.
Citi FM last month donated items to three orphanages; BASCO, Handivangelism at Haatso in Accra and Mama Laadi at Bolgatanga in Upper East region as part of the station’s Easter Orphan Project.
The Spokesperson for the BASCO delegation Richard Coffie, a past inmate of the orphanage who thanked Citi FM for the support over the years.
Richard lauded Citi FM’s Easter Orphan Project saying, “The presence of Citi FM every year has been very timely. We are so much grateful to Citi FM for their donations all these years and we saw the need to be here today to appreciate the good work of Citi FM and its cherished listeners who over the past years have been putting smiles on the faces of every one of us in the orphanage.”
The Easter Orphan Project is Citi FM’s annual social responsibility project, which raises funds and collects items from its cherished listeners, to support selected orphanages and under -developed communities in the country.
Over the years, Citi FM has also extended help to the Akuse and Kumasi Prisons among others.
