Swiss International Hotels and Resorts has signed a license agreement with the owning company of Alisa Hotels Accra, in a partnership deal which will help upgrade facilities, and improve services to meet global standards in the hospitality and hotel industry in Ghana.
The flagship property of Alisa Hotels, situated in North Ridge, has been renamed Swiss Spirit Hotel and Suites Alisa-Accra, a release copied to Citi Business News stated.
As part of the agreement, the hotel has started re-branding and initiated rigorous staff training, to raise the bar of its hospitality services.
Besides an upgrade of services and facilities, Swiss Spirit Hotels and Suites Alisa- Accra made up of upscale rooms and suites, will also offer an extraordinary culinary experience through their signature outlet brands of Swiss Café Restaurant& Lounge, TED&CO Lounge, Inspirations Pool& Bar.
Other facilities include a well-equipped health club and tennis court, as well as 14 meeting rooms suitable for meetings and events for a capacity over 1000 guests.
The arrival of the Swiss Spirit Hotel and Suites brand in Ghana earmarks Swiss International’s commitment to Africa.
The international chain is already represented on the continent, with two hotels in Nigeria, a hotel in Sierra Leone and a hotel in Rwanda under its current portfolio, with more projects and partnerships in the pipeline.

Swiss International is delighted to be making its debut in Ghana,” Mr. Henri W.R Kennedie, the CEO of Swiss International Hotels and Resorts said.

The license agreement with Alisa Hotels, which takes effect from May 1, 2016, marks the entry of Swiss International into Ghana; the company’s 5th African country and consolidates its goal of becoming a leading hospitality brand in Africa and reach its objective of having 150 hotels globally by 2020.
