Glo Mobile Ghana has announced it is ushering its telecom users into a new era of cost-efficient calls with the introduction of ‘Three Minutes-To-Free’ product which will enable its subscribers to make limitless free calls to all Glo lines for an entire day after paying for only three minutes of calls.
The innovative product was announced by the Head of Business at Glo Mobile, Mr. Augustine Mamuro, at a press conference held in Accra Ghana on Monday.
The Three Minutes-to-Free product allows Glo Mobile pre-paid subscribers to pay for only the first three (3) minutes of voice calls in a day and thereafter talk free of charge throughout the day on any Glo line within Ghana. The first three minutes of calls can be for calls made to any network. The subscriber also gets a 25 MB data which can be used within 24 hours.
The new product represents huge savings for mobile subscribers in the country as it saves them a significant amount of money while also ensuring that they can stay in touch with their friends, associates and loved ones for as long as they want.
According to Mr. Mamuro, existing subscribers can opt-in for the Three-Minute-To-Free package immediately by dialling *1957#, while new customers desiring to drastically maximise their mobile talk time with friends and family simply have to purchase a Glo SIM and activate it to enjoy the benefits.
“Basically, with this new product, we are telling our subscribers to talk without inhibition since the call is charged for only the first three minutes at a tariff of 14 pesewas per minute. Calls will be charged on per second basis. Thereafter, they can go on to talk for free throughout the day”, explained Mamuro.
He said with the new offer, Glo Mobile had addressed the challenges most people face trying to cope with the financial demands of making calls for purposes of learning, business and social interaction.
Mr. Mamuro promised that Glo Mobile would continue to invest massively in infrastructure and cutting-edge technology to ensure that Ghanaians derive maximum benefit for every Cedi spent for services on the network.
