Customers of God is Love Fun club have welcomed a court order asking management of the company to pay customers whose investments have been locked up in the company.
A Financial and Economic Crimes’ Court has ordered the de-freezing of the account of God is Love fun club and three others to allow the companies pay customers their locked up deposits.
[contextly_sidebar id=”4MDwKGlJrsNIKgssjvKMp7rEWRh25YTj”]The ruling followed a case brought before the court by the Financial Intelligence Centre seeking that customers’ deposits be paid to them due to a suspension of their operations following recent developments in the microfinance sector.
In a statement to announce the declaration by the court, the Bank of Ghana also denied claims of possessing the funds insisting it had not licensed the Fun Club’s operations.
But a customer of God is Love fun club, Duncan Benash tells Citi Business News only the court ruling without any involvement of the Bank of Ghana to retrieve their monies is not enough.
Meanwhile an agent of God is Love fun club in the Brong Ahafo region, Daniel Ansu Kyeremeh told Citi Business News he is yet to receive an official communication on the court notice ordering payment to the depositors.
