Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan picked up a thigh injury in the team’s final training session ahead of the AFCON 2017 qualifier against Mozambique in Accra on Thursday.
The Shanghai SIPG forward limped off the pitch towards the end of the session and the medical team subsequently strapped his thigh.
The GFA told Citi Sports that Gyan would be examined later today before a final decision would be taken on his availability for the match.
Wednesday’s training session saw the participation of the entire squad and Citi Sports’ Benjamin Nketsia stated that the team went through several scenarios especially counter attacking drills.
The match is the third to be played for the Black Stars in the qualifying series and they play the return leg against the Mozambique in Maputo on Sunday.
