Hundreds of NDC loyalists and government officials poured onto the streets of Hohoe in a health walk on Monday March 7, to galvanize support for President John Mahama going into the November elections.
The walk was organised by the youth wing of the NDC in the Volta Region.
The Deputy Volta Regional Organizer for the National Democratic Congress, Joyce Osei, told Citi News the tour was aimed at bringing the youth together as a political party to re-strategize for the November elections.
“The whole idea was to bring the youth on board because as a political party you can only win elections through the youth and women’s wing so we just wanted to vitalise the youth and the women’s wing but I was surprised at the turn out. I am very impressed because this is just the beginning.”
