Head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Tom Strand, says the club needs a lot of financial support ahead of its CAF Confederations Cup campaign this year.
The Yellow and Mauves will face the winner of the Ittihad vs AS Sonidep tie in the 1/16th stage of the competition in March.
But before they get onto the pitch to play, they seem to be facing challenges with finance.
Speaking to Otec FM in Takoradi on Tuesday, Tom Strand said that the team’s owner Moses Armah needed to be supported by the state or the GFA.
“We need financial help because there is only one person supporting us now and that is Moses Armah but he cannot do it alone.”
“It would be nice if the government helped us or if they could help the Ghana Football Association to help in turn.
“I am a little disappointed by the state of affairs but I know that Moses Armah will handle things for us,” he added.
Medeama will start the new season of the Ghana Premier League with an away match at AshGold on February 20.
