The youth wing of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) in the Northern Region has kick-started the 2016 election campaign with a major clean up exercise at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH).
The party’s youth from some constituencies within the Tamale Metropolitan area cleared weeds and disilted choked gutters within the hospital’s premises.
The CPP regional youth Organizer, Seidu Hamza, told Citi News the exercise showcased the party’s intention to sustain the National Sanitation Day concept.
According to him, the exercise was in line with a blood donation exercise organized by the national youth wing in Accra.
He pledged the party’s commitment to replicate the blood donation and clean up exercises across the country.
Seidu Hamza said his administration was poised for action to rebrand the party as means of making it attractive to the youth.
He advised all CPP youth especially the party’s social communicators to desist from engaging on media warfare with their political opponents.
He emphasized the need for CPP members to embark on house to house campaign to maximize their electoral fortunes.
Seidu Hamza described Dr. Abu Sakara Foster’s resignation from the CPP as ill-timed and pleaded with him to rescind his decision.
The CPP’s Sagnarigu constituency youth Organizer, Benjamin Azumah commended the participants for their high spirit of voluntarism.
He reechoed the need for periodic clean up exercise at the hospital premises.
Benjamin Azumah said the CPP deserved another chance to accomplish the unfinished agenda of the party’s founder, Dr. Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah of blessed memory.
