Security operatives in the Yendi Municipality on Monday intensified their patrols in the Yendi Municipality in the Northern Region.
They were alarmed by the burning of used lorry tyres in front of the Yendi community centre Monday dawn.

Some concerned leaders of the two sides of the chieftaincy divide have cautioned the irate youth against any untoward situation in Yendi and it’s environs.
They called for peaceful coexistence to enable the Asantehene led three eminent chiefs mediating the Dagbon chieftaincy dispute amicably resolve the age long impasse.
Government is committed to perform the final funeral rites of the late Yaa-Naa Mahamadu Abdulai IV and that of the late Yaa-Naa Yakubu Andani II, the Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna has always maintained.
