Pressure group, Occupy Ghana, has asked its members to join tomorrow’s [Wednesday] organized labour demonstration.
Occupy Ghana says it identifies with the suffering of the Ghanaian worker hence their decision to be part of the protest march.

“Whatever that happens in the country, we are also Ghanaians and we are also affected by it. We feel that demands by Organised Labour are legitimate enough. Demonstrations do make some impact. It actually gives government an opportunity to know the number of people out there who are being affected by their decisions.”
JUSSAG to join demo
Court activities are expected to come to a halt on Wednesday as the Judicial Service Staff Association (JUSSAG) has asked its workers to join the demonstration which will be followed by a two-day strike.
Organised Labour has however warned various political parties who intend capitalising on the demonstration to stay away from infiltrating the protest march.
Police told to be professional
Meanwhile, the Accra Regional Police Commander George Akuffo Dampare, has cautioned police officers assigned to the demonstration to desist from acts that will mar the exercise.
He has called on men and women of the service to act professionally during the protest.
The demonstration is to register Organised Labour’s dissatisfaction with the recent increases in utility tariffs and prices of petroleum products.
