Residential communities in Ghana’s capital, Accra, are gradually being commercialized.
Many entrepreneurs have invaded such residential areas with their shops, drinking spots and other businesses, much to the dismay of residents and further destroying the peace and quiet atmosphere such areas enjoy.
An example of such a community is East Legon, where a 73-year-old woman has to deal with the trauma of a noisy neighbor who runs a pub, called ‘classroom’.
