Adam Lallana scored deep into injury-time to earn Liverpool victory against Norwich in a sensational encounter at Carrow Road on Saturday lunchtime.
Sebastien Bassong looked to have earned the Canaries a point when he fired home with 90 minutes on the clock to make it 4-4.
But there was further late drama when Lallana struck with almost the last kick of the game to earn Liverpool a first Premier League win of 2016.
It was a remarkable end to one of the most pulsating games of the season.
Liverpool led early on when Roberto Firmino’s scuffed shot trickled in off Declan Rudd’s far post.
Dieumerci Mbokani’s brilliant backheel drew Norwich level before Steven Naismith and Wes Hoolahan struck to put the home side in control at 3-1.
With 35 minutes left, Liverpool looked dead and buried.
But Jordan Henderson reduced the arrears before Firmino levelled things up with his second of the afternoon.
James Milner then seized on a woeful backpass Russell Martin to put Liverpool ahead, but Norwich demonstrated their own fighting spirit to make it 4-4 in the first minute of injury-time.
However, the drama was not over as Lallana drove home five minutes into injury-time to secure Liverpool a 5-4 victory and spark wild scenes on the touchline.
