Police in the Tamale Metropolis have arrested Sulemana Kindiya, believed to be one of the angry youth of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who on Wednesday vandalized billboards and other paraphernalia belonging to the incumbent Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Inusah Fuseini.
The Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh on Thursday told Citi News the suspect was being processed for court.
According to him, the Police were on a manhunt for other persons connected to the riot triggered by a rumor that Engineer Ibrahim Seidu, who contested Inusah Fuseini during the NDC Parliamentary primary had been fired from his job by Mr. Fuseini, who doubles as the Roads and Highways Minister.

He encouraged well-meaning citizens to assist the Police maintain law and order in the Tamale Metropolis and beyond.
He also called for deeper collaboration between the Police, chiefs, religious and political leaders to maintain the relative peace in the area.
A former campaign Coordinator of Engineer Seidu Ibrahim, Basharu Alhassan Dabal-li appealed to their supporters to remain calm over Sulemana Kindiya’s arrest.
He assured them that the rule of law will prevail since the suspect’s Counsel was handling the matter.
Basharu Alhassan Dabal-li however cautioned the police against selective justice in their pursuit to arrest the perpetrators of Wednesday’s chaos.
He insisted that there were attempts to politically witch-hunt Engineer Seidu Ibrahim who was reassigned to the Department of Feeder Roads without any proper designation.
