The Christian Council of Ghana (CCG) believes the country’s difficulties will be addressed if leaders show commitment in the discharge of their duties.
The Council, has attributed the country’s current difficulties to what it refers to as huge leadership deficiencies.
According to the Council, the situation is worrying because it has transcended into the various levels of education.
It has therefore tasked leaders of the nation to use the Christmas season to reflect and re-examine their actions and in-actions which it says have contributed to the challenges facing the country.
The General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana, Rev. Dr. Opuni Frimpong in a Christmas message to Ghanaians, urged the country’s leaders to be prepared to make sacrifices beyond their immediate benefits and demonstrate deeds that would safeguard the future of our country.
“We are having a lot of challenges because at the moment Ghana is facing a lot of leadership deficiencies… even on campuses it is something else…parliament, now we buy buses and put pictures of our former leaders which will become something else. We pray and hope the next generation, our young people, that tomorrow will be better just to secure the future for the next generation,” he said.
