The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) will roll out its annual “Operation Let the Traffic Flow” initiative from Monday December 14, 2015.
Under this Operation, the AMA will collaborate with the Police Service to post personnel at all traffic intersections and high traffic areas to ensure safety for motorists, pedestrians and traders.
[contextly_sidebar id=”weycuFo4n0hzyJ8PO0TT3j37QCGKQA4O”]“Operation Let the Traffic Flow” is the Assembly’s approach to easing the congested traffic situation within the national capital during the festive season, especially in and around the Central Business District.
In a statement signed by the AMA’s Public Relations Officer, Numo Blafo III, the AMA admonished motorists and pedestrians to adhere to all the directives that would be rolled out in line with this operation.
The release also reminded traders that the “Don’t Cross The Red Line” policy was still in force.
It therefore cautioned traders against trading on pavements and other unapproved areas, and motorists against indiscriminate parking to avoid confrontations with the Assembly’s motor towing taskforce.
