Some residents of Ningo in the Greater Accra Region, have threatened to vote for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate, if delegates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), retain the incumbent MP,  E.T Mensah as their candidate.

The residents, who spoke to the Citi FM’S campaign trail team, accused their MP of deliberately starving their community of development projects.

[contextly_sidebar id=”Qw5MQndS0zpojqH1mRDzWuaTU8CjQ1oB”]They claim he has sent all projects to his home town, Prampram, an accusation the MP has denied.

“We went to see E.T Mensah to complain about our roads but he did not do anything for us. We are tired of him, we want to change him ,”a frustrated resident complained.

“We do not have jobs and we do not have potable water. Majority of the people in Ningo are saying that if E.T Mensah is retained they are going to vote Skirt and Blouse,” another said.

Mr. E.T Mensah has rejected the accusations, insisting he has been fair to both communities. He explained  that the  projects in Ningo that have not been tackled are largely the responsibility of the district assembly.

“These are things that I know, that I hear all the time. I know the Ningo people and those who understand all what is happening. I don’t do district assembly here. We have a district assembly and the things that you are talking about is the responsibility of a district assembly …They have a budget, I do not have a budget” he stated.

The NDC’s race on November 21, 2015, is set between E.T Mensah and Sam George .
