Anas Aremeyaw Anas has admonished former Attorney General, Martin Amidu, to tone down in his attacks against him.
The Citizen Vigilante, as he is affectionately called, Martin Amidu, has in his recent epistles lashed out at the investigative journalist, Anas, describing his Tigereye PI team as “dummy” and “fraudulent”.
[contextly_sidebar id=”BtkKbfpXeqiDOrY4nKjEmihoPzkxg3Vp”]He has also accused government of commissioning Anas’ recent exposé on the judiciary adding that he colluded with government to suppress parts of the truth, which could indict some corrupt politicians in the country.
But Anas has refuted the claims by Mr. Amidu, urging him to hold his fire since the attacks would not help in anyway.
“Mr. Amidu, you have been a symbol of the anti-corruption fight. The light of your candle has probably blazed and radiated our path. Kindly rest, assured that our work does not seek, in any way, to dim or diminish your glow and radiance.”
“We recommend to you the deeply reflective eternal words of the American clergyman, James Keller that ‘a candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.’ We add our own words, that the brightness of your candle is not in any way reduced when another lighted candle is brought into the room. You have done a great job. History will be kind to you. Don’t pick a fight in an empty room. Don’t allow an ill-advised, unfortunate, unnecessary and regrettable hubris to destroy it.”
