Over two hundred residents of Odawna, a suburb of Accra have benefited from a free health screening programme organized by Citi FM and Helping Hand Medical Outreach.
The programme is aimed at preventing the recurrence of the cholera outbreak that occurred in the community due to the flooding incident in 2015.
Executive director of helping hand medical outreach, Dr. Kojo Twum Nimako in a Citi News interview said the community members were educated on health related issues including nutrition and sanitation.
He also said the education was enable the resident to live healthy lives.
Dr. Nimako encouraged the residents to put in to practice what they were thought in order prevent childhood malnutrition and enhance good health.
The screening was done by the Helping Hand Medical Outreach team with support from Citi Fm staff and medicines were giving out after the programme.
