Some Taxi drivers who ply the Ashaiman-Zenu road have threatened to embark on a massive demonstration this month.
According to them, they can no longer bear the bad nature of roads in the area hence their decision to demonstrate.

The Chairman of the drivers’ union, William Boateng, said they are fed up with the lies and false assurances being given them by the Ashaiman Municipal Chief Executive, Ibrahim Baidoo.
“We are tired of the lies and false assurances from the municipal chief executive Mr. Ibrahim Baidoo. We are not ready to listen to the rhetoric again.”
Mr. Boateng noted that if the assembly fails to show signs of work in progress, they will hit the streets in a grand style.
Thomas Nti, a driver, said he has to send his car to the mechanic for maintenance once in every week due to the bad nature of the roads.
“I spend so much on maintenance every week which is affecting my work, he said angrily”
Meanwhile, the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Ibrahim Baidoo, says the Ashaiman to Zenu road has delayed because of the change in plans to apply asphalt on the road instead of chippings.
