Inter Allies coach Herbert Addo says no coach deserves to be recognised as the best in the just-ended First Capital Plus Premier League because matches are not decided by their efforts.
League winner Bashir Hayford of AshGold, WAFA coach John Killa, and Kwabena Ameyaw of Aduana Stars have been nominated for the Coach of the Year award ahead of the PLB Awards Gala on Friday at the La Palm Beach Hotel.
But the 57-year old coach says matches won in the league are down to non-footballing reasons and not technical guidance from his fellow coaches.
“I have been in the game for years and what I have seen is that coaches do their job and yet, they lose matches. Why? It is because someone has money to pay somewhere. Our real performances are not reflected and that means Ghanaian coaches have a lot of problems because outside forces determine matches.”
He added: “I was not happy with what went on in the league. So many things happened in the background. If I were part of the team chose the nominees, no coach would be nominated.”
