A group calling itself concern youth of Zorko-Gambrongo in the Bongo district of the Upper East Region have locked up the Ayone Junior High School over the transfer of three teachers and instead are calling for the transfer of the headmaster.

The angry youth on Monday afternoon locked up the school stressing that they will not leave the school until the three teachers namely,  Nsoh Moses Alangbota,  Apilika Dominic Nsoh and Mr. Abellinkaabe Wilbert Ayine  are brought back.

The leaders of the group, Benjamin Amoah  and Roland  Atuah said the youth together with the assembly member of the area decided to  lock up the school due to unjustifiable transfer of three hardworking teachers.

They  allege the headmaster of the school Mr. Aloya Francis sodomizing some students describing it as immoral and a gross misconduct which merit his removal from the school.

Two circuit supervisors Joseph Akuka and Awini David Kwame who were sent by the Bongo District Director of Education Mr. Dankan Nsoh   failed to prevent the locking of the school.

The head teacher  Aloya Francis  when contacted denied sodomizing any student of the school and added that the matter has been reported to the Director of Education for Bongo

Meanwhile head teacher Aloya Francis is currently at the Bolgatanga high court battling an alleged sodomy case against him.

Students who spoke to Citi News argued that the transfer of the tree teachers will affect teaching and learning in the school.

A visit to the school showed that students were absent in school, some students who were roaming about told Citi News they were told not to come to school until the matter is resolved.
