Ernesto Yeboah added, “We are the only party that stood up against the attempted imposition of GMOs,… only the CPP provided a worthy alternative to the Senchi meeting, so every now and then we have proven over and over again that it is only the CPP that represents the credible alternative.”
Meanwhile the Congress Committee of the CPP is expected to submit its report on regional congresses held across the country to the party’s central committee Tuesday afternoon.
This is expected to pave the way for the National Congress slated for September 18 to 20. Although the venue for the congress is yet to be announced, Ernesto Yeboah was optimistic the process will be carried out on the scheduled date.
Former Chairman of the CPP, Professor Edmund Delle has declared a ‘come back‘ to contest as the party’s National Chairman. However current Chairperson, Samia Nkrumah has stated of her intention to contest as the party’s flagbearer in the 2016 elections. Samia believes the CPP will help address most of the challenges facing the Ghanaian economy if voted into power.
