More than two years after launching Google Keep on Android, the company is finally bringing its note-taking app to iOS: Google rolled out a new version of Keep for iPhones and iPads Thursday.
Like the Android and web version of the app, Keep on iOS allows you to arrange your notes into a sticky-note-like interface. Notes are synced with your Google account so you can access them across devices.
Like the built-in reminders in iOS, you can attach reminders to notes based on time or the specific location at which you want to receive them.
Given that the app is from Google, it’s not surprising that one of the best features of Keep is search. You can search for notes by tags, color or whether they have a reminder attached. The text of transcribed audio notes is also searchable, as well as text within images embedded in notes.
