He said they will also offer the general public a kid’s playground and video gaming arena to enhance the family experience to those who patronize the facility.
Mr. Boateng added that Global Cinemas will soon extend its facilities to other regions in the country.
For her part, the Minister of Tourism, Elizabeth Ofosu-Agyare who had her speech read on her behalf commended Global Cinemas for the initiative adding that “it is our belief this establishment will operate within a peaceful and conducive atmosphere; one that we all can enjoy.”
She said government is more than committed to creating an enabling environment for the arts industry to thrive and it is happy to support the private sector in this effect.
“It is our responsibility to ensure that the sector is properly regulated and to make sure we approve policies and licenses that will only seek to enhance the sector, make the operators more willing to engage and bring in more competition.”
Meanwhile, Global Cinemas is open to the general public from this weekend with “Transporter” and several other blockbuster movies set to show at the entertainment center located on the right just before the Bojo Beach junction on the Weija Road, near the old barrier.
