The National Service Secretariat has extended the deadline for registration for service personnel for 2015/2016.
[contextly_sidebar id=”O5focXslnSpPc27tpLYybgg4PBF6HFCG”]Registration for some 69,000 prospective service personnel was supposed to have ended today [August 25], but Head of Public Affairs at the NSS, Ambrose Entsiwah Jr told Citi News the deadline has been extended to August 31.
According to him, the decision is to afford persons who could not complete their registration during the stipulated period, the opportunity to do so before the compulsory commencement date of September 1.
Prospective National Service personnel are expected to check their placement at www.nss.gov.gh then proceed to the secretariat’s regional offices to complete the registration processes.
He also indicated that, posting for nurses and some exceptional cases are expected to be completed by the end of August.
Mr. Ambrose Entsiwah Jr said that prospective service persons affected by the delay should expect to get their postings in the coming week.
The NSS secretariat had earlier warned that it will no longer consider requests from service personnel for change of postings on health grounds.
