President John Mahama has commissioned a water treatment plant for four communities at Ntereso in the Northern Region.
These communities include Ntereso, Nyawuripe, Fufulso Junction and Yapei-Yapala.
The plant which will draw water from the White Volta, it will then pump in excess 100,000 gallons of water daily to the communities.
The water will then be, treated and purified at the plant and supplied to the inhabitants.
This comes on the back several other water projects that have been commissioned in a determined effort by government to improve access to quality water and reduce the incidence of water borne diseases.
President Mahama last month commissioned ten water supply systems in Fetentaa in the Berekum municipality of the Brong Ahafo region as part of the Peri-urban rural and small town water and sanitation project being implemented across the country at a cost of 21 million euros.
President Mahama is expected back in Accra on Friday.
