The Accra Regional Police Command has arrested 37 suspects in connection with the recent armed robbery attacks at Amanfrom in Kasoa.
This follows recent attacks where suspected armed robbers have robbed and injured some residents.
Addressing the press at the regional office, the Greater Accra regional Police Command DCOP, Christian Tettey-Yohunu said the police organised a swoop in the area on Saturday morning and arrested 36 males and a female ranging between 18-35 years.

The exhibits found on the suspects are four jungle motor bikes, dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and heroine, three machetes and a kitchen knife, seven mobile phones, six pairs of scissors.
The rest are three laptops, a box of matches and a set of military uniforms.
According to DCOP Tettey-Yohunu the suspects will be screened and arraigned in due time.
He called on residents to remain calm and assist the police to identify the culprits when they are called to do so.
“We are not going to tackle Amanfrom alone. We are also going to look at surrounding areas like Kasoa, Sakumono and areas around Oyarifa where we suspect these criminals are. We therefore call on the residents to assist us in these operations so that Accra can be a safe place as we get closer to the festive season.”
Residents at both Amanfrom American Farm and Top Town have for the past four weeks been under attack from some suspected armed robbers.
The latest involved a 15-year old girl who was stabbed and robbed on her way to town last Friday.
The situation compelled the Police to set up a temporary police post to facilitate the protection of residents. The Inspector General of Police Mohammed Ahmed Alhassan also visited the community to assess the situation.
