The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has denied adjusting the school fees for the academic year.
This was after some students expressed anger over the purported school fees increment.
The students who are mainly pursuing business administration in the University say that the increase may force them to defer their programmes.

“This year, management has not officially put out any fees to enable us know whether there has been an increase or not,” he said, “Students have their own way of fishing out information which sometimes may be correct or wrong.”
He explained tha the university consults the SRC before reviewing fees.
“There is always negotiation on the fees and then they come to an agreement as to what is acceptable to old students and management,” he said.
“Until the university comes out specifically and officially with its fees, we can’t tell whether there is an increase or not,” he added.
